Composer Sid Nakaoka will be releasing two debut albums this year, beginning with Afloat via Umbilical, an ambient journey into the deepest reaches of space. "I've always had a passion for film scores, and this album is heavily influenced by 2001: A Space Odyssee,, Vangelis' work on Blade Runner, and, more recently, John Powell and Underworld's terrific score for the film Sunshine."
Sitnalta's second adventure for the year highlights the rise and fall of the lost city of Atlantis. Deep with instrumental philosophy and avante-garde experimentation, the album promises to offer a new spin on the mysterious sunken island.
