Rules of the Home Office Over the past few weeks, the Rab Blog has seen a variety of different subjects and opinions, but a recent topic by Director Robert Bartolome has created quite a buzz among readers. The Rules of the Home Office is Bartolome's personal self-employment handbook (or handblog), and features weekly anecdotal guidelines to the do-it-yourself business model. "When they told me I had to write a blog, I was just worried about coming up with something that people would actually read," laughed Bartolome. "The number of self-employed Americans seems to be growing by the day, and so I tried to think about what might have been helpful to me when I first started out." |

From waking up in the morning, to business hours, and even some suggestions for lunchtime, the blog covers every aspect of a typical work day. Bartolome explained, "When you work for yourself, especially in a home office, every tiny, little thing you do affects your day. How you wake up, what clothes you put on, where you go at lunch...everything plays a role in your work, so you need to make sure it's a positive role." For the past two weeks, Rab Studios' Facebook fanpage has been blowing up with feedback on the blog, and some fans are even planning to make video adaptations of the rules. "I'm just happy people are getting something out of it," concluded Bartolome. So if you're planning on trying out self-employment, make sure you study up and memorize all the rules at Rob's Blog. |
