Getting Oriented
February 12 , 2010

With casting complete for Workaholics Anonymous, the Rab crew is making some final preparations for shooting. But in the midst of long hours and stressful pre-production, they are also making time for a coffee break.

This weekend, the Celtic Coffee House in Downtown New Bedford is opening their doors for a cast and crew orientation. "We always like to have an informal, relaxed get-together for the cast," said Producer Allison Freitas. "It's a great way for everyone to meet eachother over some food or coffee."

The orientation also includes a read-through of the script. "Some of the actors are in completely different scenes, and they may not even see each other for the entire production," said Robert Bartolome. "This is really the one time the entire group can come together and get a feel for the film. And plus, I think a little comradery can really go a long way during production."

With filming just around the corner, the Rab staff will be back to work on Monday, finalizing schedules, preparing equipment, and drinking many cups of coffee. In the meantime, check out allworkaholics.com for photos from the orientation.
