The New Summer Anthem
April 30 , 2010

Oh See Dee makes his debut on May 4th with his first single "Neighborhood Chant," a funky, quirky pop number backed by the sounds of rock group Monitor Blown.

"Me and [Monitor Blown] are really excited about this release," said Dee. "It's been a long, tedious process, but I think we got exactly what we wanted." Between the soulful organ riffs, the electronic clappers, and bluesy rock guitar, this bubbly track has something for everyone.

"Neighborhood Chant" is the prelude to Dee's debut release, The Shot Heard Round the Hood, a six-track EP in the unique style of the aptly-named Bagman. "I like EP's a little better than albums," he explained. "'cause they let the listener focus more on each individual track. When you listen to LP's, especially long ones, it's easy to lose track of the album's progression from beginning to end."

The Shot Heard Round the Hood is set for release on June 22, and provides an definitive origin story for Oh See Dee. "People will be able to get a sense of my personality, and a little bit of my background. And hopefully, it'll put some smiles on a few faces."
