Quiet on Set!

A few weeks ago, the Rab crew announced an upcoming production for the 2010 Rab Studios promo. With pre-production underway and shooting set for June 4-6, Rab is looking to bring on as many people as possible.

"It's going to be a huge setup," said Producer Allison Freitas, "and our goal is to get everyone we've ever worked with on board. We're lucky enough to have worked with some incredible cast and crew people over the years, and as the company grows, I think it's really important to keep everyone in the family."

The comical promo, dotted with throwbacks and homages to past Rab projects, will not only spell out the studio's background and future, but also hopes to illustrate some of the resources and talent that New England has to offer. "We all know New England has an incredible film movement going on," said Freitas, "Part of our goal with this short video is to prove that self-sustaining production companies can operate outside of the traditional industry boundaries, like LA or New York."

Director Robert Bartolome commented, "As far as Rab goes, we've never really made a piece that shows all of our personalities. We're a bunch of funny, crazy, nutty people who somehow come together to create. And I think it's important that we show that."
