"To Tell a Story..."

Rab Studios takes on downtown New Bedford next week for the newest exhibit in the Whaling City's very own Artworks! Gallery, "To Tell a Story..." Featuring an eclectic range of talent from the southeastern Massachusetts film community, the month-long exhibit also includes a weekly presentation from the filmmakers themselves.

"We're always excited to get involved with our local film community," said Producer Allison Freitas. "Massachusetts has an amazingly strong and passionate film industry, but events like this really bring it to new levels."

The exhibit kicks off next Thursday at 6p, with an informal Meet the Filmmakers event. Along with some of the Rab staff will be Whaling City director Jay Burke, Tommy Whalen of Silent Dinner Productions, and Chris Hassan of Shattered Glass Films, among others.

Chris Hassan helms the first filmmaker presentation on Friday, June 11th. "I'll be showing 3 of my short films and speaking a bit about why I made them, and the themes that tie them all together," he said, "and then host a question and answer session with anybody in attendance."

In the meantime, look forward to the kickoff event on Thursday, June 10th at Artworks! 384 Acushnet Avenue, New Bedford, MA.
