Oh See Dee is Contagious! The streets of Roxbury, Massachusetts have housed their share violence and drug-running over the years, but recently they have developed a little OCD. Oddly amusing and genuinely obsessive-compulsive, Oh See Dee is the definition of quirk-hop, mixed with a dash of funky grooves and rockin’ riffs. Born and raised in Roxbury, Massachusetts, he experienced the harsh realities of poverty and street life from a unique perspective. "I was the only white kid in my class,” he explained, “so it was always a struggle to fit in. Music and hip-hop really let me connect with kids that wouldn’t normally talk to me.” |

Oh See Dee soon gained a reputation through some humorous live performances in the Boston area. "I just like to make people happy, stir up a few laughs, but also respect the street life that I grew up with. I don’t try to be a G, but I do know what poverty is." Rab Studios is finishing up a video for his first single, "Neighborhood Chant," a collaboration with rock group Monitor Blown. “It’s easy to get lost in the economy, and all the negative things that are happening right now,” said Oh See Dee. “But this song puts a spin on everything. If we gotta cope, we might as well try to have a good time.” With a laugh, he added, “And we might as well have a good hook!” Neighborhood Chant is featured on the Blame the Economy sampler, and will be released on September 8th.
