Affordable Vacations With the recession still going strong, it is becoming more and more difficult for anyone to afford a relaxing vacation. Musical visionary Sitnalta is arriving just in time to give everyone an affordable journey into the soul, imagination, and beyond... Composer Sid Nakaoka moves about the New England area, searching for inspiration anywhere and everywhere. “It’s one thing to enjoy the sounds of the wilderness or even an urban area,” he explained, “but I think there’s something to be said for keeping your mind open and finding little pieces of inspiration in everything.” |

Nakaoka has spent years practicing what he calls the art of instrumental philosophy. “Deep, thought-provoking ambient music can have an amazing impact on the mind,” Mr. Nakaoka said. “Even scientific studies have proved that certain types of music can...relieve stress and relax the brain.” Sitnalta’s debut album, Afloat Via Umbilical, does just that. The album’s five tracks (averaging about 10 minutes each) offer an ambient journey into the deepest reaches of space. "I've always had a passion for film scores, and this album is heavily influenced by soundtracks like 2001: A Space Odyssee, Vangelis' work on Blade Runner, and more recently, John Powell and Underworld's terrific score for the film Sunshine." |
